This is the roster page for Farewells Clicker buildings named in Team Square’s public notes. It is meant to be searched, not read like a novel. For the philosophy of placement, use the Buildings Hub. For neighbor recipes, use Building Synergies. For a filterable table, use the Synergy Planner.
If a building exists in your 1.0 client and is not named here, the developer has not described it in the notes we indexed. Hover it in Detailed mode and treat the tooltip as canon.
Rock
Produces stones. This is the basic stone tile. Place several if you plan a quarry. A lonely rock is still income; a ring of rocks is a quarry battery.
Obsidian
Described in 1.0 as SUPER rock. Use it the way you use Rock, except you should spend the better tile on the cluster you actually intend to industrialize. Do not hide Obsidian on a one-tile peninsula.
Quarry
Produces a lot of stones depending on the rocks around it. Demo players reported a second quarry that did not register for a quest; 0.6.0 made placements count and made quests validate retroactively. If a 1.0 quest still skips quarry two, confirm the building type in Detailed mode.
Never place a quarry first. Place rocks, then the quarry, then more rocks if the radius still has holes.
Cottage
Places tree and wheat fields around itself instead of producing. Patch 0.6.0 added it for Next Fest. Think of it as a verdant Watch tower: it changes the map so other buildings can eat. Leave space around it. A Cottage jammed against the water wastes fields.
Lumbermill
Produces a lot of wood depending on the trees around it. Trees can come from Cottages or from whatever natural tree tiles your island already has. Jungle, a 1.0 chest-choice node, is a SUPER boost to trees and exists for this industry.
Guild Hall
Automatically clicks around itself. Added in 0.6.0. Put it in a dense producer neighborhood, not on a lonely Watch tower plateau. It does not replace Castle click propagation; it is the early and mid-game version of “the island clicks itself.”
Watch tower
Claims a huge chunk of land when placed. Does nothing else. Added in 0.6.0. This is a border tool. Full advice lives on How to Expand Your Island.
Tower
Grants a lot of stars. Does not produce resources. 1.0 notes that a banquet or totem associated with it is built with stones. Do not confuse it with Watch tower. If a quest says “place towers,” read whether it means this star landmark or the land-grab building.
Manor
Produces a lot of coins depending on the other manors around it. The first manor is a scout. The second and third are the building. Leave a compact district, not a manor every ten tiles.
Castle
Grants a lot of stars and SUPER click propagation. Does not produce resources. Banquet or totem line uses coins. Place it where clicks should spread, which usually means near producers and a Guild Hall, not on an empty Watch tower field.
Portal
1.0 calls it the ultimate building of your island and stops there. Unlock it, hover it, and decide. This page will not invent a Portal puzzle.
Windmill
Named through the Windmill range chest-choice node. Increase range if you already use windmills. If you have never placed one, do not spend a chest on this node. Confirm the building tooltip in your client.
Banquet and Totem
1.0 mentions Banquet/Totem built with stones for Tower and with coins for Castle. They are sinks attached to landmarks, not starter houses. Build them when the landmark is already earning its keep.
Quest and bug notes that mention buildings
- “Place 3 towers” failed to count for some demo players. 0.6.0 made placing a building count toward quests.
- A second quarry sometimes did not register; the third completed the quest. Retroactive validation was added.
- Storm / Tempest could leave building costs wrong or let you place buildings you could not afford. 0.6.2 patched those. If 1.0 still does it, stop spending and report it.
Suggested pairs
- Rock / Obsidian + Quarry
- Cottage + Lumbermill (+ Jungle if you take that chest)
- Manor + Manor + Manor
- Guild Hall + any dense producer field
- Watch tower + empty future district
- Tower + stone banquet/totem line
- Castle + coin banquet/totem line + clickable producers
When you want a rank instead of a dictionary, use the building tier list. When you want the first-hour order, return to How to Play. When a chest might delete this roster, open chest events.
