Buildings

Farewells Clicker Buildings

Every official building role in one place.

Last updated:

Buildings are the verbs of Farewells Clicker. You claim a tile so a building can stand there. You click a building so its job happens faster. You farewell an island when the buildings on it have finished teaching you something. This hub collects the official roster from the 0.6.0 Next Fest note and the 1.0 launch note. For neighbor math, open Building Synergies. For a searchable table, open the Synergy Planner. For a ranked view, open the building tier list.

Names below use the English patch text. Watch tower and Tower are different buildings. Tempest is not a building. If your client language disagrees, hover in Detailed mode. See Controls and Settings.

How to read a building

Ask four questions every time you hover a new one.

  1. Does it produce a resource, grant stars, or only change the map?
  2. What does it want nearby? Rocks, trees, other manors, or nothing?
  3. What do other buildings want from it? A Cottage is weak alone and strong as a seed.
  4. Is this a 1.0 unlock you should save tiles for?

If you cannot answer those, do not place it on your only good pocket. Place a Rock or Cottage instead and read the building list.

Producers

Rock produces stones. Obsidian is the SUPER rock. Quarry produces a lot of stones depending on the rocks around it. That trio is the stone industry. Never drop a quarry on a beach with no rocks.

Cottage places tree and wheat fields around itself instead of producing. It is a farmer, not a factory. Lumbermill produces a lot of wood depending on the trees around it. Cottage then mill is the wood industry.

Manor produces a lot of coins depending on the other manors around it. Manors want friends of the same type. A single manor is a seed. A group is the coin engine.

Exact rates live in the client. This wiki will not invent them.

Map and click helpers

Watch tower claims a huge chunk of land when placed and does nothing else. Use it as described in How to Expand Your Island.

Guild Hall automatically clicks around itself. It is the building you want when your hand is the bottleneck. Pair it with the auto-click buff from patch 0.6.0 and, later, Castle click propagation.

Windmill is referenced by the 1.0 Windmill range chest-choice node. The launch note does not reprint a full windmill paragraph. Treat windmills as range-sensitive helpers and confirm the live tooltip before you plan a farm around them.

Star landmarks

Tower grants a lot of stars and does not produce resources. Banquets or totems associated with it are built with stones. Castle grants a lot of stars, adds SUPER click propagation, and does not produce resources. Its banquet or totem line uses coins. These two are how late-game skill trees get fed. They are also how players accidentally delete their only quarry tile.

Portal is called the ultimate building of your island in the 1.0 note. Team Square left the rest as an ellipsis. Play to see it. Do not expect this wiki to invent a Portal walkthrough that the developer did not publish. The landmark deep dive is late-game buildings.

Placement order that does not fight itself

  1. Seed (Rock, Obsidian, Cottage fields, or a first Manor).
  2. Industry (Quarry, Lumbermill, more Manors).
  3. Click coverage (Guild Hall, later Castle).
  4. Land (Watch tower) only when the cluster has no room.
  5. Stars (Tower, Castle) when the skill tree is the wall.
  6. Portal when the island is actually ready to be “ultimate.”

If a chest offers Cloning, place the building you most want copied during that window. If it offers Tempest, read chest events before you agree to delete this list.

Buildings and the skill tree

1.0 says a lot of nodes come along with the new buildings: unlocks, improvements, influences. Buy the node that unlocks the building before you reserve a pocket for it. Multi Claim and Chest Discovery are not building nodes; they change the map around buildings. Keep that split in mind on the Skill Tree Hub.

New players should still start at How to Play. People who only care about adjacency should skip to Building Synergies. People who want a ranked shortlist should use the building tier list. Patch context lives on Patch 1.0 and the demo patches.

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers to the most common Farewells Clicker questions.

Where is the full Farewells Clicker building list?

On the Building List page. This hub explains roles; that page is the roster with synergies and warnings.

Do buildings have hidden official DPS numbers?

Not in public patch notes. Use Detailed mode. This wiki does not invent rates.

Is Watch tower the same as Tower?

No. Watch tower claims land. Tower grants stars and does not produce resources.
