Farewells Clicker Known Issues

What players reported, what 0.6.x fixed, and what to send Team Square.

Last updated:

Launch week is when old demo threads and new 1.0 reports sit in the same Steam hub. This page separates those piles. It does not invent a live bug tracker. If a Steam news post after 17 August 2026 contradicts a line here, the Steam post wins. Pair this with demo patches, Patch 1.0, and launch week.

Team Square’s 1.0 note asked players to report what is off and promised bug-fix patches over the coming weeks. The support address on the store is teamsquare.game@gmail.com. Attach OS, resolution, whether you are on demo app 4437930 or full app 4264950, and a screenshot of Detailed mode if a building is involved.

Fixed in 0.6.0 (Next Fest)

  • Placing a building did not count toward quest progression. Fixed. Quests also validate retroactively.
  • Ultrawide UI failed to display correctly. Fixed, with display mode and resolution dropdowns added.
  • Auto-click felt too slow for people who dislike mashing. Buffed. This is balance, not a crash.

If you still see “place X buildings” refuse to move after a clean 1.0 install, treat it as a new report, not as proof the 0.6.0 sentence was a lie. Confirm the building type in Detailed mode first. Watch tower and Tower are different names.

Fixed in 0.6.2

  • The “click on the building” tutorial could complete without a click.
  • Clicking a demo-locked skill node played two sounds.
  • After Storm (Tempest), building costs could be wrong, you could place without enough money, and the end-of-run recap could break.
  • More ultrawide UI cases.
  • Escape menu gained a wishlist button (quality of life, not a fix).

If a 1.0 Tempest still corrupts costs or the recap, that is a launch-week ticket. Quote 0.6.2 so the studio knows it is a regression, not a first report.

Community reports that were never a numbered patch line

These sat on the Steam discussions we indexed. They are not automatically 1.0 facts.

  • “Place 3 towers” did not progress. Demo-era. Could be Watch tower versus Tower confusion, or the old quest-count bug. Try both building types, then report.
  • Second quarry did not register; the third completed the quest. Demo-era tracker. 0.6.0 made placements count. If a second quarry still fails in 1.0, send a save description.
  • No resolution option on 5120x1440; recap looked wrong. 0.6.0 added dropdowns; 0.6.2 cleaned more UI. If 1.0 still crops, include the exact resolution.
  • Volume slider jumps to 100%. Demo complaint. Steam now lists custom volume controls. If the slider still snaps, say whether music, SFX, or master is the one that jumps.
  • Players wanted better range overlays and richer upgrade tooltips. Those are feature requests from February, not confirmed 1.0 bugs. Detailed mode is the official answer that shipped.

1.0 items that are not bugs

  • Portal has no public walkthrough. The note ends in an ellipsis. That is silence, not a broken tooltip.
  • Tempest deletes the island. That is the event. Read chest events.
  • Watch tower produces nothing. Official. It only claims land.
  • Tower and Castle produce no stones, wood, or coins. They grant stars. See late-game buildings.
  • Mac RAM listed as 4 MB. Store-card typo next to Windows 4 GB. See system requirements.
  • No promo codes. Paid Steam game. Anyone selling “codes” is not using an official system.

How to tell demo leftover from 1.0 leftover

  1. Confirm the app ID in Steam.
  2. Confirm you launched after the 17 August 2026 depot, not a cached demo.
  3. Reproduce once with Detailed mode on.
  4. Check whether 0.6.0 or 0.6.2 already claimed the fix.
  5. Mail Team Square with that checklist. Do not only post “game broken” in a February thread.

Settings that look like bugs

Inverted camera, dark transition, language dropdown, and resolution are 0.6 / 1.0 features. If the island feels mirrored, you may have inverted the camera. If the tech tree flash is too harsh, toggle the transition. If a tooltip looks untranslated, remember the 0.6.0 note: homemade localizations, corrections welcome. Controls is the map for those toggles.

Performance

1.0 promised large-island optimization. Hitching on a huge Creative Mode sketch can still happen on a minimum GPU. Shrink the claim before you file “unplayable.” Cloud saves do not fix a thermal throttle.

What to do while you wait for a hotfix

Play around the broken quest: place the fuel the industry wants, use Creative Mode to test the layout, and keep a second goal from the achievement list that does not depend on the stuck counter. Do not farewell only to “reset the bug” unless you already wanted the recap.

The Links Hub has the community hub and the mail address. The Updates Hub is where a real hotfix will be rewritten when Steam publishes it. Until that post exists, this page is a history of reports, not a live status board.

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers to the most common Farewells Clicker questions.

Is the second-quarry quest still broken in 1.0?

0.6.0 made placements count and validated quests retroactively. If it still fails on 1.0, report it as a new ticket.

Who do I contact about a bug?

teamsquare.game@gmail.com, with OS, resolution, and demo versus full app. The studio asked for launch-week reports.

Did 1.0 ship a hotfix the same day?

The public news feed we indexed still shows Patch 1.0 as the newest numbered note. Check Steam news before you assume a silent fix.

Is Tempest a bug?

No. It destroys buildings and pays their gift again. Skip it if you like the current island.
